2025 Activities
Driving simulator
Post the fastest hot lap on the Pass N Go Driving School simulator for your chance to win amazing prizes! Last year’s top driver won an unforgettable track day, with £500 and £250 awarded to the runners-up. This year’s prizes are still to be confirmed — but they’re expected to be just as exciting, if not better! Step up to the challenge, test your racing skills, and see if you’ve got what it takes to top the leaderboard!
Live CPR demonstrations
Join St John Ambulance in the Health & Well Being Area for live demonstrations running throughout the day on how to perform CPR correctly. These interactive sessions provide the chance to learn and practise vital lifesaving skills, directly reflecting how instructors are assessed during their PDI theory training. A valuable opportunity to build confidence and knowledge.
Test your reactions
Batak Lite is a fast-paced, compact reaction game designed to test your reflexes, stamina, and coordination as you hit illuminated targets against the clock. Quick, addictive, and great fun, it challenges players to stay sharp under pressure while competing for top scores. Think you’ve got what it takes? Come along to the Intelligent Instructor+ stand, put your skills to the test, and you could walk away with one of three fantastic cash prizes!
EV display & test drives
Meet over 25 fellow EV driving instructors and explore our fantastic electric vehicle display. Chat with instructors about teaching in EVs and take a test drive in models like the BMW ID3, MG4, Tesla M3, Mini Electric, Kia Niro, and more. Just bring your driving licence and NI number for a quick licence check. Want to join the display? Contact Ruedi from YES! Driving School at [email protected] — he’s kindly coordinating the line-up once again.
Virtual reality experience
Experience what it’s like to be involved in a real-life crash inside the Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service’s impressive Virtual Reality Van. Take a seat, pop on a VR headset, and prepare to be immersed in a powerful and eye-opening simulation like no other. While it may feel very real, don’t worry — it’s just a simulation. But it’s an incredibly effective and memorable way to highlight and convey vital road safety messages that could save lives.
Adapted vehicle display & test drives
Meet the team from Disability Driving Instructors and Driving Mobility who are on hand to offer help and advice if you are interested in becoming a specialist disability driving instructor. See how the cars are set up to help those with disabilities and feel free to take a test drive in one of our cars fitted with adaptations to see how disabled people can drive. Feel free to book ahead to arrange your slot for the test drive, by emailing John, [email protected].
Professional headshots
Get a free professional headshot to use in your marketing or on your ADI/PDI licence. Visit our pop-up photography studio in the PDI Zone between 13:00 – 14:00 to have your photo taken. It’s a quick and easy process, and the digital image will be emailed to you after the event. It’s completely free of charge and a great way to freshen up your profile — just don’t forget to smile and say ‘cheese’!
Hand massages
Visit the Health & Wellbeing Area for a relaxing professional hand massage, supported by the ADINJC. It’s a unique and soothing experience designed to help ease away the stresses of the day. Take a few moments to unwind, recharge, and enjoy some well-deserved self-care during your visit. Whether you’re in need of a quick refresh or just fancy a treat, this free massage is the perfect way to relax and reset.
Charity cyclathon
Take part in our charity cyclathon in the Health & Wellbeing Area and help raise funds for our chosen charity, Speed of Sight. Simply jump on the spin bike and get pedalling — for every kilometre you ride, SmartLearner Driving School will generously donate £1. It’s a fun and energising way to support an incredible cause that helps empower people with disabilities through driving experiences. So come along, get moving, and make every kilometre count for charity!
Health checks
In the Health & Wellbeing Area, Diabetes UK and the NHS Trust will be on hand to offer friendly advice and support with any medical concerns you may have. You’re welcome to stop by for a chat or to ask any questions. We’ll also have a mobile diabetes check unit on-site, providing a quick and painless test to help identify signs of Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. It’s free, confidential, and could make a big difference.
